How it begins: Thursday Is Missing
On Friday morning, Ethan discovered that Thursday no longer existed.
He didn't discover it through a strange dream or a mysterious message, but through something very ordinary: the science homework he was sure he had handed in on Thursday, but couldn't find any trace of in the school's online record.
He opened his tablet and logged into the school platform. He went to the weekly timetable, then looked at the dates again.
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, then Friday.
Thursday was missing.
At first he thought the platform was broken, so he closed it and opened it again. Nothing changed. He moved on to his phone's calendar, then to the digital clock in his room, then to his father's computer, which had been left on the desk.
Every device showed the same date: Friday, the seventeenth of October.
But all their records skipped a whole day.
